Robotic Process Automation
RPA technology is changing the way the world works and the business environment.
I am Chief Visionary Officer in my profession and activity, as a consultant in the financial-accounting field and operations in a business. Since the beginning of my business, my vision has been to transform and raise the standards, for myself and my collaborators, as a business environment.
And for some time, I’ve been talking to you about digitized accounting and tools by which we can do this activity better, faster, more efficiently.
Software robots are a tool, part of a team – instead of humans – they can do repetitive and lower value work such as connecting to applications and systems, moving files and folders, extracting, copying and pasting data, filling out forms and completing routine analyzes and reports.
Advanced bots can even perform cognitive processes such as interpreting text, engaging in chat and conversations, understanding unstructured data, and applying advanced models to make complex decisions.
It is enough to tell them what to do, until they have to do it, where and to whom to deliver.
When robots perform these types of repetitive, high-volume tasks, humans are freed to focus on the things they do best and enjoy more: innovating, collaborating, creating and interacting.
In one sentence, business people can improve all their important relationships: their relationship with themselves, with time and money, and with all the important people they come into contact with.
Businesses also get a boost through productivity and efficiency.
Today, RPA is driving new efficiencies and freeing people from repetitive tedium across a wide range of industries and processes.
That’s what the DD Robots did for me in accounting, but you know what?
Bots can help businesses in all industries, from financial services to healthcare, manufacturing, public sector, retail and beyond, have implemented RPA in areas as diverse as finance, compliance, legal, customer service, operations and IT.
And that’s just for starters.
Virtually any high-volume, repeatable business rule-based process is an excellent candidate for automation – and increasingly it is cognitive processes that require higher-order AI skills.
